Maxtra P Syrup

Description

Maxtra P Syrup is a combination medicine commonly prescribed to relieve symptoms of the common cold, allergic rhinitis, and upper respiratory tract infections, especially in children. It works by reducing fever, congestion, and allergic responses.

Composition

Each 5 ml of Maxtra P Syrup contains:

• Paracetamol – 125 mg (Analgesic and Antipyretic)

• Phenylephrine Hydrochloride – 5 mg (Nasal Decongestant)

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate – 1 mg (Antihistamine)

Uses

Maxtra P Syrup is used for:

• Relief from common cold symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and congestion

• Management of fever and body aches

• Treatment of allergic rhinitis (hay fever)

• Reduction of nasal and sinus congestion

Dosage

• The dosage is based on the child’s age, weight, and medical condition.

• Typically given 2–3 times daily as directed by a pediatrician.

• A proper measuring spoon or device should be used to ensure accurate dosing.

Side Effects

Some common side effects of Maxtra P Syrup may include:

• Drowsiness

• Dizziness

• Dry mouth

• Upset stomach

• Increased heart rate

Most side effects are mild and temporary. If any severe reactions occur, such as rash, difficulty breathing, or irregular heartbeat, immediate medical attention is necessary.

Precautions
