Motinorm Drops

Description

Motinorm Drops is a pediatric medication used to treat nausea, vomiting, and other digestive discomforts in infants and young children. It works by enhancing stomach and intestinal movement, helping food pass more easily through the stomach.

Composition

Each 1 ml of Motinorm Drops contains:

• Domperidone – 10 mg

Domperidone is a prokinetic agent that improves the movement of the stomach and intestines, and also acts as an antiemetic by blocking dopamine receptors in the gut and brain.

Uses

Motinorm Drops are prescribed for:

• Relief from nausea and vomiting

• Management of bloating and discomfort due to delayed gastric emptying

• Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) symptoms

• Enhancing feeding in infants with poor gastric motility

Dosage

• The dosage is determined by the pediatrician based on the child’s weight and condition.

• Typically administered 3 times daily before feeds.

• Always use the provided dropper for accurate measurement.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Dry mouth

• Drowsiness

• Stomach cramps

• Diarrhea or constipation

• Mild skin rash (rare)

If serious symptoms such as irregular heartbeat or severe allergic reactions occur, seek immediate medical attention.

Precautions
